Chemonie Plantation

Chemonie Plantation is located about six miles north of El Destino in Leon County, Florida. It is the smaller of the two, having 1840 acres. Mary Wallace Savage Nuttall Jones inherited slaves from her uncle, William Savage. She purchased Chemonie Plantation in Leon County, Florida in order to employ them. She later married William B Nuttall (abt.1802-1836) in 1832. He died in 1836.

In 1840, she married George Noble Jones, who purchased the two plantations from Nuttall's estate. Both were owned by George Noble Jones in the 1840's to 1865, at least.[1]
